Group Lessons:
There are no refunds or make up lessons allowed for missing
group lessons, camps, or Garage Band.
The teacher must be paid the same amount, whether 3 students
or 10 students show up for the lesson. There are no exceptions
to this policy. The cost of a group lesson is reduced to make
up for this inconvenience.
Late Arrival:
Students arriving late will not have their lesson time extended.
This backs up the entire schedule & presents scheduling
problems for everyone concerned. If a student is more than 15
minutes late the teacher will be dismissed & the lesson
considered a no show.
No Shows:
Any cancellation or missed lesson without 24 hours notice
is considered a No Show. Failure to show up for lessons
creates a loss of income for the teacher who has set aside time
for the student in good faith. This means that if you do not
show up for a lesson, for any reason, there are no refunds,
make up lessons, or credits. If the instructor fails to
show up for a lesson for any reason, or inclement weather demands
that lessons be canceled, a make up lesson will be scheduled
during the same calendar month.
Make Up Lessons:
Makeup lessons for qualified absences will be given as a 1hr
group theory lab on Saturday mornings once per month.
Books, Tuners, Metronomes, & Instruments:
Students are required to bring these items to the lesson. If
the student fails to bring the required items he/she will receive
a theory lesson during the regular lesson slot.
Care of Students:
The school is not responsible for providing before or after
class care for students. Students are not to be left at
the school for excessive time (more than 15 min.) before or
after lessons.
Parent’s Responsibility to be Aware of Dates and Events:
It is the responsibility of the parent or adult student to
be aware of school activities such as recitals and dates the
school is open and closed. We will make every effort to inform
all students of activities by posting them within the school,
on the schools website, and by blanket emails. It is the parents
responsibility to provide the school with a valid email address.
It is also the responsibility of the parent or adult student
to inform the school of any address or telephone number change.
Withdrawals:
Registration is for the entire teaching year. If a student
withdraws before the end of August, a 30-day written notice
(withdrawal form) is required. If 30 days notice is not given
a $50 withdrawal fee will be assessed. Written notice is given
by filling out a withdrawal form and submitting to the
front desk.
